Fundraising Internship Opportunity - Grant & Trust Intern

Updated: Jun 26

Fondazione Enactus Italia ETS | Curricular Internship | Full-time | Hybrid (Office in Milan)

Are you passionate about social innovation and sustainability, and do you want to dive into institutional fundraising? Are you looking for a hands-on experience where you can learn to source and write grant applications, structure complex project proposals, and support budget planning to drive the sustainability of an international non-profit?

At Fondazione Enactus Italia ETS, we are looking for a motivated and curious intern to join our team.

About Us

We are the Italian branch of Enactus, an international non-profit organization active in over 30 countries. We bring together students, academics, and business leaders to address key global challenges through entrepreneurial action, in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are a lean, dynamic, and fast-growing organization.

Why Choose This Experience?

Working in Grant & Trust means being at the core of our strategy: you will be the mind that maps out and secures resources for local projects. Unlike typical mass-market internships, you will enter an international, Corporate (B2B) ecosystem, learning how a non-profit strategically collaborates with major companies and institutions. It is the perfect training ground to develop business skills and shape your future career in the Third Sector or Corporate Sustainability (ESG).

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the team, you will be involved in:

  • Scouting: Continuously mapping funding opportunities (national, European, and banking foundations) and awards.

  • Grant Writing: Providing operational support in drafting project proposals (grant proposals).

  • Impact Reporting: Collecting data and monitoring KPIs to prepare impact reports

Ideal Profile

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's/Master's degree or a specialized program focusing on Fundraising, Non-Profit Management, and Social Innovation (or similar paths centered on sustainability, grantmaking, and impact evaluation), with the requirement to complete a curricular internship.

  • Skills: Excellent writing skills and a strong ability to synthesize information. A specific aptitude for technical writing and grant drafting (national, European, and banking foundations) is required. This includes the ability to analyze call guidelines, structure project proposals in line with the requested objectives, support budget planning, and strictly manage deadlines and formal requirements.

  • Mindset: A strong interest in the Third Sector, a proactive attitude, and proficiency in the Google Workspace suite for document archiving and tracking project pipelines. Familiarity with LinkedIn for partner research and mapping is also required.

  • Languages: Native Italian speaker with a good command of English (B2 level or higher).

What We Offer

  • A 6-month curricular internship (full-time) with an expense allowance.

  • Hybrid working model with an office based in Milan.

  • Networking: Direct contact with our governance and a unique network of universities, startups, and major corporate partners.

If you are not looking for a conventional internship where you just watch from the sidelines, but want an active role where you can roll up your sleeves from day one, this is the place for you. You will never be left alone; you will have the full support of the team to help you grow.

Does this sound like you? Then you are exactly who we are looking for.
