From Student to Impact Innovator

Enactus is young, enthusiastic people coming from all over the world, dancing together during the World Cup in the hall of a conference centre, proudly waving their flags in a thousand colours. Enactus is about creating a team bound by mutual respect and admiration, that is able to celebrate success and face adversities as one. Enactus is striving for the aspiration of building and owning a lasting impact on people and places. Enactus is, in all aspects, a school of life for young students eager to begin shaping their future.

My name is Roberto Costa Alumnus of the Enactus community, and previously a team member of the team of Enactus Trento. I graduated in Innovation Management six months ago and am now working as a business consultant within the innovation unit of GFT Technologies, learning quickly to be ready to stand on my own feet in the near future!

Enactus has been for me a journey that still continues to this day, and that has helped me understand in which direction I want to shape my life. Thanks to Enactus, I’ve had the chance to challenge myself and develop a genuine vocation for impactful entrepreneurship, a passion I still hold dear as a guiding star when planning my future and navigating my present professional and personal life.

Working alongside a team of exceptional individuals, delivering my first pitch at the national competition, having my first calls with potential customers, partners, and mentors — experiencing success and joy, as well as setbacks and disappointments — all of these moments have led me to discover my love for creating, building, and taking ownership of my impact. Enactus is a fast-paced, immersive crash course in entrepreneurship, as real and hands-on as it gets!

Once an Enacter, always an Enacter! I strongly believe in the sense of community built by Enactus and carried on by the alumni, who serve as a central force, bringing and keeping together young people with the potential to generate a significant impact, long after the end of their journey in Enactus as students. As part of the alumni community, I feel a responsibility to support the exceptional young students that, every year, challenge themselves and the world by working to bring their ambitious entrepreneurial ideas to life, while continuing to work on building my own future and refreshing my enthusiasm through theirs!
